The festival of Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated in every corner of India and all other part of world where Hindu resides. This festival of Krishna Janmashtami is celebrated as birthday of Lord Krishna. Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most important day for all the Hindus which fall on eighth day of Savana month. Sri Krishna was the avtar of Lord Vishnu. The celebration of Sri Krishna Janmashtami takes place for two days, on the first day of celebration, the important phase of Sri Krishna’s life is depict by a dance performance also known as “Raaslila”. The merrymaking reaches it peak at midnight stroke, when aarti is performed and bhajans are sung to praise the Lord. On the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami, Small children are dressed up in avtar of Lord Krishna with the playmate Radha.
According to the History – Lord Krishna was the incarnation of Lord Vishnu who was one of the three important Gods of Hindus. Lord Krishna was born to kill the demon kind of Mathura known as Kans who was his maternal uncle (Mama). There are thousands of story related to the birth of Lord Krishna. But the one whom most of the people believe is that Lord Krishna was born to kill all the demons including his “Mama” kans . He was born to spread humanity, peace, prosperity and religion on the earth.
History of Krishna Janmashtami
Wise people and scholars says that Lord Krishna was born in the Dwapar yug, they calculated that the Lord Krishna was born around 3227 BC. He was born on the eights day of Sharavana month which fall nearly in August / September according to the Georgian calendar.
Kans was a cruel king of Mathura, there was an “Aakashvani” that the eight child of his sister (Devki) was kill him (Kans) and Lord Krishna will born to save the humanity. So Kans took his sister (Devki) and her husband (Vasudeva) to the prison. It was a dark and stormy night when Lord Krishna born in the prison of Kans with great power. From his childhood only, he made everyone believe that he was a form of God.
